NEW DELHI: The first of the 22 Apache Guardian attack helicopters, often called "tanks in the air" because they are armed with deadly missiles and rockets, has been formerly handed over to the IAF at the Boeing production facility in Arizona, US.
The first batch of these heavy-duty helicopters will be shipped to India by July, with all the 24 slated for induction by March 2020 under the Rs 13,952 crore deal inked in September 2015.
