AeroJones Appoints Australian Distributor

June 15, 2020

AeroJones Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. — builder of a modern and sophisticated light aircraft called CTLS in Xiamen, China — announced new representation in Australia, Michael Monck, a leading figure in the southern nation’s light aircraft community.

AeroJones Aviation secured a strong opportunity in the vibrant Australian light aviation market. Following an exploration of the country’s aircraft industry, AeroJones located a knowledgeable and well-known representative to import, sell, and service CTLS aircraft in Australia.

In April 2019, Lockr Life Pty., Ltd., (Australian Aero), an Australia corporation, officially accepted the appointment to represent the aircraft manufactured by AeroJones.

“Lockr Life is a company that develops the lockr.aero cloud-based logbook tools for pilots and people who buy, own and operate aircraft..” said Mr. Michael Monck. The founder of the company, Michael is an enthusiastic and experienced pilot deeply involved with Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus). He and his team stand by your side as a pilot, inspect the aircraft for you, and provide service after the sale.

“We are very excited to bring this well-known aircraft (CTLS) back into the Australian market with new manufacturer: AeroJones,” said Monck. “This is not only great news for new buyers but also brilliant news for previous owners who seek customer service.”

“AeroJones is pleased to have the expertise and depth of resources that Michael and his team bring to the Australian market,” said Mr. Michael Chou, who handles marketing for the Xiamen company. Chou is a licensed Commercial Pilot, trained in Canada and with extensive experience in flying. “Michael promises to ensure the Australian customers of AeroJones Aviation enjoy quality maintenance and maximum long-term service.

“Now, customers can order an AeroJones Aviation CTLS model from a reliable and responsible representative within Australia,” said Charlie Chen, who directs international business for AeroJones Aviation. “Those who have examined the AeroJones CTLS for possible purchase or owners currently operating CTLS in the country can expect premium service and maintenance.”

“We had been talking with Charlie Chen and the AeroJones team to help them make contacts in the Australian market. When they came here for the Avalon Air Show in 2019, we spent many hours with them,” said Monck. “After learning what they were trying to do, their approach to aviation and generally getting to know them, it was an easy decision for us. We decided that we wanted to be involved at that airshow.”

Monck continued to explain, “We reached out to existing owners in Australia and heard nothing but positive feedback about the aircraft and when we extended our research to other markets the good comments kept coming. These responses made signing a contract with AeroJones to be an easy decision for us to make. We met a great team with a great product looking to do great things. That fits right in with what we are trying to do as a company.”

Monck has acted as chairman of Recreation Aviation Australia since late 2013 and led it through some major changes. “We are the single largest group of pilots in Australia,” Monck said. “We work very closely with the Australian authorities at CASA to set and oversee our own rules for pilots and aircraft airworthiness, an arrangement that shows CASA is willing to have us direct our own activities.”

In addition to his work with RAAus, Monck noted, “I also work with the Aviation Safety Advisory Panel, a body responsible for advising the Director of Aviation Safety for CASA on safety matters.” Monck is also part of the General Aviation Advisory Network, which provides aviation advice directly to Australia's Deputy Prime Minister, a role that has positively influenced our local approach to Covid-19 in recent months.”

RAAus is a member of The Australian Aviation Associations Forum (TAAAF), Australia's largest collective body of aviation organizations. Monck serves on the executive committee of this forum. TAAAF has played a key role in advising the Government and various agencies and departments on the appropriate policy responses to the recent pandemic as well as other matters.

“Our team has worked hard to identify and enlist the right representative in Australia and in Michael Monck, we feel we have the perfect partner,” said Mr. Hsieh Chi-Tai, General Aviation Development Vice President for AeroJones Aviation Technology Co., Ltd.

In late 2020, AeroJones will complete a new aircraft factory in China near the Dalu General Airport close to Zhenjiang. Aircraft are fully built in Xiamen, China for the last six years.

Primary markets for AeroJones Aviation include China and Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and other countries in the region.
