The Duluth Airport Authority learned Tuesday that it will receive a $250,000 grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development to help renovate the 311 Building for Cirrus Aircraft.
The airplane manufacturer aims to use the space to expand its manufacturing capacity, creating an anticipated 25 new full-time jobs in the process.
The Duluth Airport Authority expects needed upgrades to the building will cost about $500,000.
The Duluth award was one of three DEED Air Grants announced Tuesday.
