Mike Costello’s start in the aviation field began with going to air shows as a child.

“I was growing up, my dad liked to take me to all the air shows. I was just always fascinated with seeing these pilots flying and just something about it. I’ve always loved it. So being around it is just home for me,” he said.

Today, Costello sells inspection cameras for aircraft as North American Sales for USA Borescopes.

“I’ve been in the sales industry for most of my adult life. I joined USA Borescopes team in 2015 and have never been happier. I started out as a sales representative for the company while continuing to pursue more knowledge about aviation style inspections and scenarios. I’m happy to say that I am now one of the top sales managers of the company and am truly satisfied with the company I belong with. I enjoy walking into the office every day,” he said.

Costello said he’s also found aviation industry the most intriguing out of all that utilize the equipment he sells. “There are many industries that our tooling can be used with but I’ve never been so intrigued than when I’m working with aircraft and aircraft component inspections. Leonardo da Vinci said: 'Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.' I am truly fascinated to see where man started with aviation and where we are now. What a beautiful expression of man’s abilities when we work together,” he said

He said that he finds great satisfaction helping customers with AOG situations and are in need of an inspection system as soon as possible.

“When I am able to provide them what they need, I know I’ve made a new connection for life and am now trusted with their inspection needs. I’ve made many great friends over the years and I sincerely hope to continue doing so,” Costello said.
