Publisher's Sign-off: New AMT Content Alert!

Oct. 14, 2010
MRO Operations added to editorial mix

AMT’s technical editorial coverage is growing and thanks to your many requests, starting with this issue, you will find we have added a new content section, MRO Operations (see page 32). This new section will further explore the technical side of aircraft maintenance relating to the repair station and MRO segments, both fixed-wing and rotor, and some new items such as components and PMA parts. As always, be sure to let us know what you think of the new addition and any topics you are interested in.

“Today’s aviation maintenance professional very likely has some level of involvement with repair stations and MRO organizations, regardless of what segment of the aircraft maintenance industry you represent,” AMT editor Ronald Donner says. “With that, AMT is excited to announce that we will be including additional editorial content in our new feature section titled, MRO Operations, relating to the repair station and MRO segments of the aircraft maintenance industry. It will complement our existing aircraft maintenance feature sections by providing more information to our readership relating to the aircraft maintenance industry.”

IA renewal training

As we close in on the end of another year, a question you should be asking yourself is “Have I completed my IA renewal training in 2010?” In case you haven’t, don’t worry, there are still a few chances to get your training completed in 2010 and of course AMTSociety is here to help!

AMTSociety’s road show tour of training events is coming to a city near you, don’t miss the stops in Mahwah, NJ, on Oct. 27; Sacramento, CA, on Nov. 3; and in Pittsburgh, PA, on Nov. 17! The last stop for 2010 will be in Seattle, WA, on Dec. 8.

Don’t forget each seminar meets the requirements contained in FAR 65.93(A)(4) for Inspection Authorization (IA) renewal training and is acceptable toward eight hours of training for IA renewal and the FAA AMT Awards Program.

Until next time we’ll see you online:
