AMETEK Rotron has introduced an advanced tubeaxial fan with aerodynamic, motor and DC drive technology technology that delivers best-in-class performance for its compact size. The new Propirad 28v DC fan delivers 200 cfm at 4 iwg with an overall fan efficiency approaching 45 percent -- in a package measuring only 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) in diameter. The Propirad fan is designed to provide either high flow spot cooling or centralized cooling of avionics, electronics and boost fan applications in ducted systems. Developed initially for use in helicopters, they are appropriate for any airborne applications requiring high output and low weight.
