Kazakhstani regional airline Qazaq Air has taken delivery of its new Dash 8-400 aircraft P4-AIR (MSN 4598) from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (“De Havilland Canada”) following the arrival of P4-FLY (MSN 4595) two months ago. It is planned that the new turboprop will commence regular flight services from the Kazakhstan capital Nur-Sultan in July.
The ceremony of handing over the new aircraft was the first delivery of Dash 8-400 aircraft following the completion of the transition of the Dash 8/Q Series aircraft program from Bombardier Inc. to De Havilland Canada on June 1, 2019
.“It’s a rewarding day to see the delivery of the first Dash 8-400 turboprop under the De Havilland Canada name and we are delighted to be sharing this day with Qazaq Air,” said Todd Young, Chief Operating Officer, De Havilland Canada. “We will continue to manufacture the Dash 8-400 aircraft and will provide aftermarket support for the Dash 8/Q Series aircraft.”

The De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft (previously known as Bombardier Q400 NextGen) – is a new-generation regional airliner equipped with a modern active noise and vibration suppression system in the passenger compartment, comfortable armchairs with a wide step, large portholes, spacious luggage bins, and bright LED lighting.
Qazaq Air operates regional routes in the Central Asia Region. 100% of airline’s shares are owned by Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.
Qazaq Air's fleet is the youngest among the airlines of Kazakhstan and consists of modern, comfortable De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprops with an average age of two and a half year.
