Feb. 21, 2023

Frankfurt — A plane headed to the popular holiday destination Fuerteventura was forced to turn around on Saturday due to a cabin pressure error.

The plane landed back in its airport of origin in Frankfurt about an hour after taking off, according to the German airline Condor which operated the flight.

There were 163 passengers and 10 crew members on board the plane bound for Fuerteventura, part of Spain's Canary Islands.

Condor said the passengers' safety was never compromised.

The airline is now carrying out an inspection into the fault.

The passengers are set to be taken to their destination on a replacement aircraft later in the day.
