Arizona, USA-based US Airways (NYSE: LCC) said it is supporting the Transportation Security Administration for expanding its TSA PreCheck programme to international itineraries.
The airline said that its eligible customers may now receive TSA PreCheck's expedited screening benefits at its dedicated security lanes. This could include no longer removing shoes, light outerwear and belts, or laptop and 3-1-1 compliant bag from carry-on bags, during the domestic portion of their international trip. TSA launched the expedited screening programme for US Airways customers at Washington, D.C.'s Reagan National Airport in June 2012.
