The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that Middle East airlines posted the strongest international growth rates in terms of passenger demand for February with an increase of 10.6 percent, reported Arabian Business. IATA's report found that capacity growth stood at 9.7 percent while load factor soared from 0.7 percent to 77.7 percent, the highest increase for any region. October 2012 seems to be a turning point for global air travel market, since that month, passenger demand growth remained at an annual rate of 9 percent, which is double the growth trend from January to September 2012. It's worth noting that passenger demand went up 3.7 percent in February 2012 on global basis.
