Authorities: Two Killed After Small Plane Headed to San Diego Crashes in Las Vegas
A small plane that was reportedly headed to San Diego crashed and caught fire at a construction site in Las Vegas on Thursday morning, killing two people on board, authorities said.
The twin-engine Cessna 310 crashed into a construction trailer on a lot about four miles northwest of the Henderson Executive Airport about 9:40 a.m., according to Clark County Fire Department and Federal Aviation Administration officials.
The plane had departed North Las Vegas Airport about 9:30 a.m.
The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash to determine the cause. The FAA said it would release the tail number of the aircraft after investigators verified it at the crash site.
Authorities said the two people killed had not been identified. No further information was released.
