Cirrus Aircraft Executive VP to Address Atlanta Aero Club Meeting

Todd Simmons, executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer support for Cirrus Aircraft, will be the featured guest speaker at the regular bi–monthly meeting of the Atlanta Aero Club scheduled for March 20.

March 5, 2014, Atlanta, GA…Todd Simmons, executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer support for Cirrus Aircraft, will be the featured guest speaker at the regular bi–monthly meeting of the Atlanta Aero Club scheduled for March 20th.   

Simmons is responsible for managing the Cirrus Aircraft brand globally for both the the SR Series of piston powered aircraft and the all new Vision SF50 Personal Jet.

Based in Duluth, MN, Simmons joined Cirrus in 2008 and has led a number of innovative growth initiatives aimed at both the current owner community and toward penetration into new segments.

With more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and business leadership, Simmons has held management positions at both boutique businesses and Fortune 500 multinationals. His aviation experience includes work at Delta Air Lines and at CubCrafters where he led sales and marketing efforts and later presided over the company. 

Simmons is an active pilot and flies several hundred hours a year in both Cirrus and his Super Cub. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

The meeting is scheduled for Noon on March 20 in the Grand Ballroom of the Capital City Club, 7 John Portman St., downtown Atlanta.  The cost is $40 for members and $45 for non-members and includes lunch.  Check in and a networking hour begins at 11:00 am. About the Atlanta Aero Club

The Atlanta Aero Club was founded in 1984 by Lockheed Aircraft Company executives and is one of the oldest continuous operating aviation clubs in the US. With nearly 250 members, the Atlanta Aero Club has operated as a chapter of the National Aeronautics Association (NAA) since its inception. Recently, the Atlanta Aero Club took a leadership position in developing a Georgia State Proclamation declaring October as the official Aviation Appreciation Month to honor the businesses and individuals who contribute to the State's and Nation's large aviation industry. The Proclamation was signed into effect by Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue. Thus far, a total of 42 states have signed the proclamation. The Club meets bi-monthly at the prestigious downtown Capital City Club and regularly invites key aviation business leaders as guest speakers for Noon luncheons.
