Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) is proud to introduce its Airport Mascot Program. This program has been established to honor AGS’s former canine employee, Mayday. She will be represented by two traveling plush border collie companions, Mayday and Little Miss Mayday.

The Mascot Program consists of Mayday being represented by two plush border collies, Mayday and Little Miss Mayday, who will each take separate journeys. Mayday will travel via FBO’s around the country and world! Her goal is to visit all 50 states and at least 10 countries. With Little Miss Mayday, we are asking children from around the area to write an essay as to why Little Miss Mayday would have fun on their family’s vacation. The student selected will take her on their vacation and take pictures and videos of her with her new friends.

Mayday will become a hitchhiker with the goal of visiting all 50 states in the U.S. and 10 different countries. She will hitch rides with pilots and/or passengers transiting through general aviation terminals located in airports around the world.

Little Miss Mayday will be temporarily adopted out to select youngsters within the CSRA to accompany them on their family vacation. Students from first through eighth grade with an interest in participating in the program must submit a one page essay stating why they believe Little Miss Mayday should accompany them on their family’s next vacation.

For details on the Mayday Mascot Program please visit www.FlyAGS.com/Mayday or call (706) 798-3236 to speak with Lauren Smith, AGS’s Communications Manager.

We have set up social media outlets for both dogs so the community as well as other airports can follow her on her journeys. You can find details about the program by clicking here.  We already have two children lined up for Little Miss Mayday and Mayday is on her way to a second destination!
