Emily Bridges began her career in rail as a program manager and eventually became planning and production manager coordinating multiple facilities. She managed a vital customer relationship with Bombardier Transportation as well as sales projections, production schedules and machinery/staffing capacity plans.

In 2016, she joined StandardAero’s Summerside facility, initially as a customer service analyst, preparing account reconciliations and developing finance and customer dashboards for pay-by-the-hour programs; and soon worked with a third-party provider to build a VMAX customer community, which automated administrative tasks within Salesforce. In 2018, Bridges was promoted to senior program analyst, focusing on engine maintenance forecasting, as well as developing and preparing all financial reporting for the company’s programs. She also designed and updated customer reports and dashboards, working with the company’s IT team on program-related Salesforce developments.

In 2019, Bridges was promoted to the role of program manager to oversee StandardAero’s VMAX portfolio and other pay-by-the-hour programs. She was responsible for handling customer communications, organizing field and shop events and ensuring that the company met its commitments to its program customers. In addition, she coached and assisted other members of StandardAero’s Summerside team with data analytics and financials.

Now in 2021, Bridges has been promoted to manager, Engine Programs, working with a newly formed team that has members located in both in Canada and Europe. “I’m extremely thrilled to lead an amazing team of individuals that are backed with many years of experience in the aerospace industry,” she noted. “Each member brings a unique set of skills to the team and it’s amazing seeing everything come together.”

Bridges is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce with Athabasca University, Alberta, through an online program, adding to what should be a busy schedule into 2022. “Operations are picking back up now and getting back to normal levels for a majority of our program customers… I’m excited for what’s to come!”

“Here on our small island, aerospace is one of our major industries that we take pride in. It’s a very fast-paced, ever changing environment which I thrive in,” she noted. “There’s always something new to learn and endless opportunities.”

She says hard work, dedication and a desire to learn has gotten her to this point in her career. And, as for the future, she said, “my new role is a huge undertaking for me and I plan to continue to learn as much as I can about the business and our customers while being an effective leader.”
