Merchant Aviation, a full-service aviation consulting firm, has named Felipe Cruz, AIA, Program Manager. In this role, Mr. Cruz will lead Merchant Aviation’s Master Planner Master Architect contract at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). He began his new position on September 5, 2023.
Mr. Cruz has 23 years of experience in planning, design, development and execution of projects in the U.S. and Mexico, including airport infrastructure, commercial, hotel, industrial and residential projects. Most recently he was Planning & Development Director with Aerostar where he was responsible for master planning, design and development. He has also held the titles of Project and Design Manager and Architect, Project Coordinator for ASUR. Mr. Cruz has also worked for several companies as an architect, including Grupo Bv and JLL.
Mr. Cruz received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. He went on to receive his master’s degree in Airports: Design, Construction and Maintenance from Udima Universidad a Distancia de Madrid. Mr. Cruz is a registered architect, and he received his Project Management Professional certification through the Project Management Institute.
