Scott Gorenc, AIA, LEED AP, has joined HNTB’s architecture national practice as senior design principal — aviation. He is based in Dallas and will be leading design for architecture projects nationwide.
Gorenc has more than 15 years’ experience in aviation architecture with a focus on passenger experience and aviation systems innovations. He has led project teams in visioning, master planning, terminal and concourse design. He has been involved in projects spanning the globe, including the Pacific region, the Middle East, South America and the U.S.
His recent work includes Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, O’Hare International Airport, Dallas Love Field, Los Angeles International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport (China) and visioning work for the future of urban air mobility.

Gorenc joins HNTB after serving as studio design director at another leading architecture firm. He is a registered architect in Texas. He earned a Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
HNTB’s many signature architecture projects include design lead for the west concourse expansion at Denver International Airport; design lead for the Des Moines International Airport new terminal; principal A/E for the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport; architect of record for Las Vegas Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium; architect of record for the new Terminal C at Orlando International Airport; sports design architect for the current transformation to the University of Kentucky Kroger Field stadium; lead architectural designer for the Automated People Mover stations and maintenance facility at Los Angeles International Airport; and architect-of-record for the structural design, seating bowl, premium club seating and the interior of the new Carson Student-Athlete Center at Arizona State University.
