Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, LLC has entered into an agreement to acquire the maintenance (MRO) operations of Mayo Aviation, a George J. Priester Aviation company, at Centennial Airport (KAPA) in Denver, Colorado.

“This opportunity allows us to expand our business further west while also bringing a legacy of maintenance expertise to Mayo Aviation’s fleet,” said Christian Sasfai, president of Stevens. “Mayo Aviation will continue to focus on aircraft management and charter in the Rocky Mountain region and by partnering with Stevens, believes they can provide a higher level of service to their aircraft owners and customers.”

This move is similar to Stevens’ 2023 acquisition of Hill Aircraft’s maintenance operations which allowed Hill to focus on their core business of FBO operations. The acquisition, which is expected to complete in April, expands Stevens’ existing MRO base locations to four as they currently operate locations based at Greenville, SC (KGYH), Atlanta, GA (KFTY) and Nashville, TN (KMQY) as well as a fleet of AOG/MRT truck teams operating throughout the country.
