Magnetic MRO Celebrates a Major Milestone with the Completion of the 777th C-Check
In December 2022, Magnetic MRO, a member of Magnetic Group, achieved a major milestone with the completion of its 777th C-check in Tallinn, Estonia. A significant achievement was marked by Austrian Airlines’ A320-214 aircraft, which was the 100th aircraft to undergo a C-check at Magnetic MRO for the airline.
Magnetic MRO and Austrian Airlines (AUA) have a long-standing partnership dating back to 2005 when Magnetic MRO started maintaining Austrian Airlines’ Boeing 737-800 aircraft. In 2015, Magnetic MRO expanded their services to include the maintenance of Austrian Airlines’ A320 family fleet.
Although numerous structural issues were encountered during the OE-LBS check, the teamwork and positive attitude of both teams enabled the completion of the check within the scheduled timeframe, and the aircraft was ready for revenue service just prior to the start of the new year.
Sergei Shkolnik, Base Maintenance Director at Magnetic MRO, stated: “The 777th C-check is a significant achievement for Magnetic MRO, and it’s an honor to have Austrian Airlines as the lucky number 777. The collaboration between our companies has been incredibly fruitful, and we anticipate continued achievements in the future.”
This major milestone showcases the robust relationship between Magnetic MRO and Austrian Airlines and underlines their dedication to delivering outstanding maintenance services to their clients.
“The Magnetic team’s continuous good and friendly cooperation, professionalism and extensive experience make the bond so appealing. I am convinced that Magnetic will far exceed the 1000th check, whether it will be an AUA aircraft again remains to be seen, but the probability is definitely there,” says Thomas Schmid, a technical representative at Austrian Airlines.
