VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – (6/4/2018) – The Military Aviation Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of World War One, World War Two, and Korean War era fighters, today announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. Now in its eighth year, the achievement celebrates businesses that have earned great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include attractions, restaurants and accommodations located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

"As a museum, the visitor experience is paramount, and that starts with our volunteers.  Our friendly and knowledgeable docents really bring the history of these aircraft alive,” says Jarod Hoogland, Museum Director at the Military Aviation Museum. “With our docents and incredible collection of flying aircraft, the experience here is unlike any other.  Thank you TripAdvisor for recognizing what we offer, and we’re excited to bring the thrill of living aviation history to Virginia Beach. "

“TripAdvisor is excited to announce the recipients of the 2018 Certificate of Excellence, which celebrates experiences and other travel businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings on the world’s largest travel site,” said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor. “This recognition allows us to publicly honor businesses that are actively engaging with customers and using feedback to help travelers identify and confidently book the perfect trip.”

To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

About the Military Aviation Museum

A 501 ©(3) not-for-profit organization, the Military Aviation Museum is home to one of the world’s largest collections of First and Second World War, and Korean War era fighters, bombers and trainers. Each airframe has undergone painstaking restoration, using original components, whenever possible. Truly a living museum, aircraft are in restoration at facilities around the world. Besides the main Museum, the Virginia Beach complex features additional structures, including the 1934 Luftwaffe Hangar, originally from Cottbus, Germany, which now serves to house the Museum’s collection of WWII-vintage German aircraft. Additional structures include the WWI Hangar, in which resides the Museum’s genuine 1918 Curtiss JN-4D Jenny, and the original watch tower from RAF Goxhill built in England in 1942. Visit MilitaryAviationMuseum.org for more information or call 757-721-7767.
