Supporters of keeping the airport open argue that a downtown airport is a valuable asset that distinguishes Cleveland from many other cities, especially if it’s invested in.
More than 3 million cubic yards of dirt were moved from a mountaintop as part of the $70 million project to develop the land where the terminal was built.
The project would consist of painting approximately 60,800 square feet of runway pavement to redo all current runway markings up to the hold lines on the cross taxiways.
