Belite Aircraft Names German Distributor

Wichita, KS -- Belite Aircraft is paving the way for increased sales and expanding interest in its line of Part 103 aircraft in Europe by naming Phoenix Aircraft of Munich, Germany, as its authorized distributor. Under the agreement, Phoenix Aircraft will be licensed to sell assembled and kit versions of the Belite 254, Superlite and Trike aircraft. Belite and Phoenix Aircraft plan further cooperation in the development of the Belite design with regards to the European market and certification requirements. Phoenix Aircraft has been in operation since 2005.

“While ultralight aircraft are not required to meet the same criteria as certified production aircraft in the United States, we believe that conformance to the thorough and precise standards in Germany will add credibility and strength to the materials and methods we have employed in designing and building the Belite aircraft,” said James Wiebe, Chief Executive Officer of Belite Aircraft. “We also believe that there is a substantial market for our aircraft in Europe where personal, recreational flying has been growing significantly in recent years.
