Aero Sekur Establishes U.S. Company
Aero Sekur Inc., New Jersey: Aero Sekur, the specialist in safety systems and advanced flexible structures for aerospace and defense applications, has established a company in North America. Ursella Slusher moves from a senior sales position at General Pneumatics to head Aero Sekur Inc. The new division sits alongside sister companies in the UK and Italy where primary manufacturing and R&D is housed. Additionally, Aero Sekur has an international network of MRO service providers.
Initial presence for Aero Sekur in the US is a liaison, marketing and engineering office in New Jersey. Relocation is planned within two years to facilities with manufacturing, production and an FAA FAR-145 repair station. Principal functions that will be recruited as the first phase of staff for Aero Sekur Inc. are engineers and a Quality Manager.
Commenting on the addition to the organisation’s global network, Mark Butler, CEO for Aero Sekur said:
“With over 40% of the world’s helicopters operating in the US, the American market offers major potential for Aero Sekur. Our reputation as a specialist developer of liferaft and flotation systems for this market, along with MRO capabilities, means it has been a natural progression to create a dedicated facility in the region.
“Existing activity for Aero Sekur in the States includes supporting sister companies, Aero Sekur SpA and Ltd. The new organisation will enhance relationships with U.S. helicopter operators and reduce time / system costs through close liaison with local suppliers and operators.
“As a former head of a sales division for General Pneumatics, Ursella Slusher is set to be a key player in developing Aero Sekur’s U.S. presence.”
Ursella Slusher has over 23 years experience in the aerospace and defense industries including work in the fields of sales, marketing and general management across the business-to-business and business-to-government arenas.
