India, June 26 -- The crisis at India's most troubled private carrier, Kingfisher Airlines is ready to take the form of disaster with many engineers bidding goodbye to the airline due to non-payment of salaries despite promises of its flamboyant promoter.

Reports said that about 80 engineers have already walked out of the airline after failing to draw salary of past four months and some more are also mulling the similar action which could potentially distract the efforts of Mallya promoted carrier to survive in turbulent times.

Industry experts have said that Kingfisher Airlines has failed to pay salaries since February month after losing most of the revenues due to curtailed operations and stricter financial terms with lenders and airport authorities.
