Ground broken on new hangar at CEA
A construction firm, based in Woodridge, has broken ground on what will be a new hangar at Chicago Executive Airport (CEA) that will comprise new office space for the biggest fixed base operator (FBO) in the United States.
Morgan/Harbour Construction has started building on a 33,000 sq. ft. office and hangar for Plano, TX-based Atlantic Aviation at CEA. The new hangar, which will include 7,000 sq. ft. in office space, will be situated at 1001 S. Wolf Rd. between Hintz and Palatine roads. Mike Kurgan, general manager of Atlantic Aviation said: This development will further enhance Chicago Executive Airport, as well as the joint ownership of the village of Wheeling and Prospect Hts. The project ensures the long-term tenancy of a major corporate flight department, securing and bringing new valuable jobs to the local economy. Wheeling and Prospect Hts. together own and run CEA.
