Commitment charter to support suppliers signed by Airbus

Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has announced that it has signed a Commitment Charter towards its suppliers in order to reinforce links with the whole supply base.

Airbus said that as a result suppliers will now be more integrated in a collaborative mode in the full aircraft development process, from design to after-life recycling, and can count on the company in their development through specific support measures.

The company's commitment to suppliers reportedly includes providing them with more visibility on Airbus' production plans, developments and business perspectives, and the manufacturer will give advice on the creation of a long-term oriented network of strong Tier 1 partners, sharing in the development, investments and costs and sub-tier suppliers integration.
