Aviation Fuel Up for Sale at State Commodity, Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan

The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries began production of Jet A-1 aviation kerosene in July 2021. This type of fuel is widely used in gas turbine engines of civil aviation aircraft in Europe, the US and Canada, including Airbus and Boeing airliners.

Sep. 15—The first consignments of Jet A-1 aviation fuel produced by the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries have been put up for sale at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Nebit-Gaz electronic newspaper.

New products of the plant aroused increased interest among bidders and were purchased by foreign businessmen.

The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries began production of Jet A-1 aviation kerosene in July 2021. This type of fuel is widely used in gas turbine engines of civil aviation aircraft in Europe, the US and Canada, including Airbus and Boeing airliners.

The new fuel obtained as a result of deep purification of raw materials meets international aviation standards and is certified by the Main State Service Türkmenstandartlary.

It is noted that Turkmen petrochemists, on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, are actively working to expand the range of oil products produced in the country.

Recently, the Turkmenbashi Refinery began production of aviation gasoline for light single-engine AN-2 aircraft. Previously, this fuel used in small aircraft for agricultural work was imported from abroad. — Follow the author on Twitter: @romakayeva
