Air Dispatch Becomes First Load Control Center To Achieve IATA ISAGO Certification

Nov. 6, 2013
Company's two hubs currently produce nearly 400,000 load-sheets a year - delivered to more than 200 airports on six continents.

Air Dispatch CLC has become the first dedicated centralized load control facility in the world to receive IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certification.

The Prague-based company - which also has a station in Warsaw - carries out centralized load control functions for a number of IOSA-registered and non-IOSA registered carriers, with a client base consisting of both legacy and new generation carriers.

Air Dispatch’s two hubs currently produce nearly 400,000 load-sheets a year - delivered to over 200 airports on six continents.

The IATA ISAGO system is designed to improve and harmzonize the safety management systems of ground handling companies around the world - as well as delivering time and cost saving benefits.

It allows IATA carriers to share audit results from other IOSA registered carriers who use the same ground operators - removing the need for carriers to audit every station separately, and reducing the audit process burden placed on ground handlers.

Nick Yeadon, managing director of Air Dispatch CLC, said: “We’re delighted to be the first centralised load control centre to achieve this certification. We hope that more of the carriers we work with will join the ISAGO audit pool in future and take advantage of its benefits.”

IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO)

The implementation of the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) aims to improve safety and cut airline costs by drastically reducing ground accidents and injuries.

ISAGO is modeled on the successful IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program. The program is an audit system conducted in a standardized and consistent manner, using internationally recognized quality auditing principles.

ISAGO has been built upon a 'backbone' of audit standards applicable to all ground handling companies worldwide, coupled with a uniform set of standards relevant for the specific activities of any ground handler. As a result, the ISAGO audit can be applied consistently to multinational ground handlers, as well as to smaller companies providing services at a single station.
