John Menzies plc, the parent company of Menzies Aviation, recently provided an update regarding the company's trading and financing position.
The company reported ground handling and fueling activity during the months of April and May 2020 was down 75 percent, compared to 2019. The group’s ancillary passenger airline services was affected similarly. However, the company reported that cargo performance continues to be more resilient as total volumes are down just 37 percent year on year in April.
Despite these drops in business, the company's board stated in the report that there will be significant opportunities for aviation services groups who are able to emerge from this crisis with their capability and service offering preserved.
