Freudenberg-NOK Tillsonburg Facility Earns UTC Supplier Gold

The Tillsonburg plant supplies aerodynamic seals to UTC’s Pratt and Whitney Canada (PWC) operations.

PLYMOUTH, Mich., July 5, 2016 – For the sixth year in a row, Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies’ Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada facility has been awarded United Technologies Corporation’s (UTC) Supplier Gold status for its exceptional work in delivery, quality, lean practices and customer support.

The Tillsonburg plant supplies aerodynamic seals to UTC’s Pratt and Whitney Canada (PWC) operations. It is the only seal supplier to earn the UTC honor six years in a row.

Supplier Gold status is the highest level of supplier achievement used by UTC and is awarded to businesses that meet these five criteria: excellent customer service, on-time product delivery, best-in-class quality, cost, and use of lean practices throughout operations. This award was established to help promote and facilitate exceptional supplier practices and performance among more than thousands of UTC suppliers.

Freudenberg-NOK’s Nadcap-approved Tillsonburg facility has more than 30 years of experience in designing and manufacturing aerodynamic seals and sealing products including engine seals, thrust reverser seals, and door and window seals, for commercial aircraft and jet engines. The facility is AS9100 Revision C quality management certified including design for the aerospace industry.
