MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the Letter of Acceptance of Transport Canada for the installation of the 2-blade MTV-15-D/210-58 and the 3-blade MTV-9-D/210-58 (with max. 2500 RPM) on the Cessna A185E,-F powered by the engine TCM IO-520-D.
These installations are already certified by EASA, FAA and INAC Venezuela.
MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says, that the installation of one of these propellers features the following advantages:
- Best vibration damping characteristics
- Bonded on stainless steel leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades
- Shorter take-off distance by approx. –10 percent (SL, ISA conditions)
- Enhanced climb by approx. 5 percent (SL, ISA conditions)
- Cruise performance increased by 3 to 5 kts (MTOW, ISA conditions)
- Approx. 10 .lbs to 30 .lbs less weight than the original propeller
- Significant inside and outside noise reductions
