TOULOUSE, France, May 8, 2019 – PPG (NYSE:PPG) today announced that it has received a Best Performer Award from Airbus for its timely delivery of quality flight-deck windows. PPG was one of three suppliers among hundreds in the equipment and systems category to receive the award, which is part of the aircraft manufacturer’s Supply Chain and Quality Improvement Program (SQIP).
Brent Wright, PPG global director, aerospace transparencies, accepted the award for PPG during the Airbus Equipment and Systems SQIP Day at the Airbus site in Toulouse, France. Also attending the ceremonies were Didier Biron, PPG key account director for Airbus; Stirling Macfarlane, PPG segment manager, commercial original-equipment transparencies; and Andrew Troller, PPG manager, process quality, Huntsville, Alabama. PPG manufactures the flight-deck windows for Airbus at its Huntsville facility.
