AJW Group, the world-leading independent specialist in the global management of aircraft spares, has extended its power-by-hour (PBH) contract with MIAT Mongolian Airlines.

This extension marks the addition of the carrier’s Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to the contract. The existing contract with MIAT Mongolian Airlines includes full PBH support for their Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircraft and the airline’s Boeing 767 aircraft.

AJW will be positioning a dedicated main base kit inventory solution locally, specific to MIAT’s MAX aircraft, to meet their immediate operational needs in Mongolia.  In addition, the extended programme will give MIAT access to AJW's stock of Boeing spares, conveniently sited for their global route networks across Europe, Central and Eastern Asia.

The Mongolian national airline headquartered in Ulaanbaatar, was founded in 1956 and flies to over 10 different destinations including China, Germany, Japan and Russia.

Christopher Whiteside, President and CEO of AJW Group, said: “We are proud of our work alongside MIAT Mongolian Airlines, and we are delighted that they have expanded the remit of their PBH contract with us.

“Moving forward, we will continue to invest in the MAX aircraft, and we are excited to leverage our global expertise to secure further PBH contracts supporting this aircraft type.”

CEO and Chairman of MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Davaakhuugiin Battur, said: “AJW’s flexible, reliable and bespoke services have helped us provide excellent service for our customers over the past four years, and we are delighted to extend our PBH agreement with them.

“Their ongoing support had been instrumental in ensuring our fleet performs to its optimum efficiency and punctuality.”
