LORD Corporation Adds Driveshaft Transmission Boot Repair Service Offering

July 1, 2016
Since the part is exchanged within three days, the program allows users to participate in a quick yet more environmentally-friendly option as the part is recycled.

(Cary, N.C. – June 30, 2016) – LORD Corporation – a leader in the management of vibration, noise and motion control – is now offering main driveshaft transmission boot repair services for Bell 412HP and 412EP/EPi models.

Offered at a cost of approximately two-thirds that of a new purchase, LORD uses an improved material that provides exceptional coupling lubricant resistance on the exchanged parts. The new LORD ORE™ I elastomer maintains mechanical properties with little to no degradation at elevated temperatures as well as superior surface coatings for increased corrosion protection. Since the part is exchanged within three days, the program allows users to participate in a quick yet more environmentally-friendly option as the part is recycled.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this to the marketplace because it allows operators to reduce costs without comprising on performance,” said Rodolphe Leroy, Manager, Global Sales, Business Development & Marketing, LORD Corporation. “And with the fast turnaround time, it simply makes sense. Why throw away your driveshaft boots, when they can be repaired the same way you have your M/R spindles repaired?”

The main driveshaft transmission boot is LORD P/N REP412-340-102-101 and Bell P/N 412-340-102-101. It is applicable to S/N 36020 & Subsequent and S/N 37002 & Subsequent. This program meets or exceeds the Bell CR&O suggested removal period of 1,200 hours.
