Honeywell (NYSE: HON) has launched a new Mechanical Protection Plan for Gulfstream G200 and Bombardier CL-604 and CL-605 aircraft. With the new plan, Gulfstream and Bombardier operators will have coverage for components on their environmental and cabin control systems, lowering maintenance time and costs.
Spare parts for unplanned maintenance are costly, and long shipping times can often create extended aircraft groundings and delays. With Honeywell’s new Mechanical Protection Plan (MPP), operators can get parts shipped out to any Honeywell airplane on ground supplier within four to 24 hours, making maintenance costs predictable. Operators also have an option to enroll in individual predicted and planned maintenance rather than full tip to tail coverage, ensuring that they are paying only for the maintenance coverage they need.
Enrollment for Gulfstream G200 and Bombardier CL-604 and CL-605 MPPs will begin January 2016. The program is also currently available for several other Gulfstream and Pilatus platforms including the Pilatus PC12, and Gulfstream G350, G400, G450, G500 and G550.
MPP builds on other well-established Honeywell maintenance programs such as the Maintenance Service Plan, the most widely used engine and APU maintenance program in business aviation, and the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan, enhancing operators’ maintenance management choices.
