Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) announced the new appointments of Paulo Mazzali, co-CEO of Curaçao Airport Partners, and Jorge Roberts, CEO of Avports as new ACI-LAC Board Members acting as Advisors.

“It is always a pleasure to welcome new members to the Board of our organization, who will contribute to the development of ACI-LAC and its associated airports. Paulo Mazzali and Jorge Roberts are two executives with extensive knowledge of airport management, but above all they have a very clear vision of the challenges and problems facing our activity in the future. We are at a crossroads that will determine the course of action for the airports in the region, and we need the input of valuable people to help us achieve better days for our organization," said Andrew O’Brian president of ACI-LAC and CEO of Quiport S.A.

Rafael Echevarne, general director of ACI-LAC, highlighted, “We are very pleased to welcome Paulo Mazzali and Jorge Roberts to the ACI-LAC Board of Directors, two leaders whose experience and knowledge of the industry will help us drive the association’s activities. We are convinced that both will bring significant value to the Board’s activities as we continue on the path we have been following to become more effective and provide our members with the tools, services and strategies to achieve operational excellence."

“As part of ACI-LAC, which does incredible work in the region, I will contribute in all ways possible to the improvement of the member airports and strengthening of the industry as a whole. I am truly appreciative of the opportunity I have been presented,” stated Mazzali.

Jorge Roberts, CEO of Avports, said, “It’s an honor to serve the ACI-LAC Board of Directors to support their mission of secure, stable and sustainable airports. As Advisor, I look forward to applying my experience to champion the region’s small and regional airports who would greatly benefit from private sector innovation, even when full privatization may not be an option. I am grateful for ACI-LAC’s determination to better serve those airports.”
