Simaero Boeing 737-300 Full Flight Simulator Successfully Certified for UPRT

Simaero France has upgraded its Boeing 737 - 300 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) and has received the EASA certificate from French DGAC for Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), full stall and icing capabilities as per CS-FSTD(A) Issue 2.

Simaero has selected the STALLBOX technical solution from BIHRLE Inc., which was already successfully implemented for the UPRT upgrade of the Boeing 737NG FFS. The project was executed despite the challenges of the global pandemic. The main advantages of this upgrade product were an easy installation with minimal downtime, no impact on existing simulator certification and no interference with future baseline simulation updates.

“The upgrade of our Boeing 737-300 FFS is part of our continuous effort to provide to our loyal clients, flight training equipment corresponding to the latest requirements," said Tanguy Tostivint, general manager of Simaero France. “Some of clients have been using this device for a full decade already, and they appreciate our efforts to continue to satisfy their expectations despite the current challenging times.”

All type rating programs of Simaero are already updated with UPRT scenarios, instructors familiarized accordingly, and theoretical content developed in Simaero’s new state of the art distance learning management system. This upgrade of the Boeing 737-300 FFS was the final stage of UPRT training integration in Simaero’s training organization capabilities in accordance with EASA requirements.

The Boeing 737-300 FFS is located at Simaero Paris Training Center’s premises 10 minutes away from CDG airport terminals. The device has DG qualification level, is equipped with Rockwell Collins EP1000 CT visual system, collimated, with day, dusk, night, JVC, laser options. It has CFM 56-3B1 -CFM 56-3B2 engines fit, ACAS II, ETOPS capability.
