Treasure Coast International Airport Seeking Proposals for New 28,500-SF Hangar

April 3, 2020

The Treasure Coast International Airport (KFPR) has issued a ”Request For Proposals” (RFP) for the lease and operation of a new 28,500-square-foot hangar and related facilities for expanded development opportunities.

The state-of-the art aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hangar, currently under construction, is one of the few new facilities available in the marketplace.

The hangar has a peak height of 59.4 feet, a 44-foot-high by 170-foot-wide hangar door, a 190-foot by 150-foot apron, and is protected by a wet automatic fire sprinkler/high expansion foam system.

The hangar will serve as the catalyst and anchor for further private development of the airport’s east side, which includes three adjacent two-acre parcels ready for immediate hangar development and several parcels that will complete an MRO campus.

The airport’s west side is currently being planned as a corporate hangar campus to be developed with a private sector partner or partners.

The RFP reflects current planning initiatives by encouraging proposals that include development concepts beyond the hangar itself.

RFP documents may be obtained via download from www.DemandStar.com or by contacting the Office of the Purchasing Division at 2300 Virginia Avenue, Room 228, Fort Pierce, Florida 34982, or by calling 772-462-1700. Proposals are must be submitted by Friday, May 29 at 4 p.m.

Located at 3000 Curtis King Blvd. in Fort Pierce, the Treasure Coast International Airport and Business Park is located conveniently situated between Central Florida and South Florida. TCIA hosts a variety of businesses that employ more than 3,400 people, generating more than $509 million in economic impact to the region annually.
