Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport Reports 25 Consecutive Record Months

On December 28, 2018 Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport (MFR) surpassed 1,000,000 passengers for the first time in the Airport’s history. MFR's current year to date growth is 10.41 percent over this time last year. 

MFR was recently awarded a $500,000 grant from the Oregon Department of Aviation to develop new air service to the Airport. Currently MFR has direct flights to Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Denver. With the new grant MFR will be looking to add additional routes and continue to increase its passenger numbers.

The booming wine and tourism industry in Southern Oregon has added to the travel numbers in recent years. Southern Oregon was recently listed as a top 12 global wine destination in Forbes Magazine and was listed as a top 10 wine destination worldwide by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. People are starting to discover the secret that is Southern Oregon and as they do MFR will continue to see its passenger totals climb.
