Norfolk International Airport Reports on December 2018 Activity

Norfolk International Airport (ORF) reported a 10.35 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of December 2018 with 320,849 passengers, the highest December passenger count in the Airport’s history.

Norfolk International Airport (ORF) reported a 10.35 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of December 2018 with 320,849 passengers, the highest December passenger count in the Airport’s history. This figure compares to a December 2017 passenger count of 290,753. January to December 2018 total passenger count has increased 8.37 percent versus the same period in 2017.

In other activity, 5,898,273pounds of cargo were shipped in and out of the airport during December 2018. This represents a 0.52 percent decrease versus December 2017, which saw 5,929,252 pounds of cargo shipped. January to December 2018 cargo pounds shipped has decreased 2.16 percent versus the same period in 2017.

The above-mentioned figures reflect service by the following airlines: Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United and their regional airline partners. Cargo carriers include Federal Express, Mountain Air Cargo and UPS.
