Michigan Airport Lands in Top 10 for Best Airport Food in the Entire Country
DETROIT - People flying in and out of Michigan’s biggest airport have plenty of solid food choices. The selections are so good, in fact, that Food and Wine has just listed Detroit Metro Airport as having the 10th best airport food in the country.
From Mediterranean and Asian cuisine to Detroit Coneys to staples like Chick-fil-A, Popeyes and Qdoba, DTW has a little bit of everything and Food and Wine has taken notice.
“Detroit has balanced its restaurant roster to cater to travelers on all schedules: quick bites, a cup of coffee while making a mad dash to a gate, or a lingering meal to fill a couple of hours,” the national publication wrote about its ranking.
The airport also has a Plum Market with Zingerman’s, Cat Cora’s (An Iron Chef) Taproom and Palazzolo’s Artisan Gelato and Sorbetto, just to name a few more eateries.
To come up with its top 10 list, Food and Wine says it asked travelers around the world about airport food and asked them to vote for their favorite domestic airports for good eats. Here is the full top 10 list:
- 10. Detroit Metro Airport
