APA Services Launching new OPT IN Program to Help Aviation Companies Find and Retain Qualified Workforce

APA Services’ new program is called OPT IN - designed to provide companies a single-source staffing solution from recruiting to hiring to onboarding and beyond.

Fort Worth, Texas. – APA Services, a national Aviation & Aerospace Placement & Recruiting Firm, has launched a new, innovative program to help aviation companies meet their demanding workforce needs. APA Service works with companies all across the United States to fill their staffing needs: Corporate & Commercial MRO facilities; Corporate & Commercial Manufacturing: VIP and Head-of-State Completion Centers; Line Maintenance; Department of Defense and other government agencies.

APA Services’ new program is called OPT IN - designed to provide companies a single-source staffing solution from recruiting to hiring to onboarding and beyond. This approach allows companies to quickly fill any manpower needs to ensure they don’t lose opportunities and revenue.

“Any company who has had to turn away work because of lack of manpower knows how frustrating that is. There is a lot of competition for the best talent in the aviation industry. At APA Services we work as a partner for our clients to ensure they never have to turn away an opportunity for revenue,” explained Nicole Minter, Principal and Director for APA Services.

Under the OPT IN program, APA Services also provides quarterly performance, reporting and support metrics. They can manage payroll services, benefits, FAA drug and alcohol testing and FLSA Compliance. Minter said they have several client companies utilizing the OPT IN model with great success.

APA Services placed more than 1800 field workers last year as contract, contract-to-hire and direct placement employees. They fill a variety of positions for aviation companies. Lance Powers, VP of Strategic Growth and Business Development, says there are three key advantages to using a recruiting and placement firm.

1. Saves Money: Many companies see staffing services as an added cost. The reality is much different. When you factor in all employee costs - benefits, PTO, holiday pay and lost production time – firms like APA Services can typically save companies from $3.00 - $8.00/hour. Over a 12-month period (2080 hours) that can be a significant financial savings. Companies only pay for the hours that are worked in a staffing arrangement and do not share in worker liability.

2. Expertise: Recruiting firms do this 24-7, specializing in marketing to, qualifying and placing Aviation professionals. APA Services has a team of 25-plus recruiters on hand and can increase that as needed for clients. They spend time and money finding the candidates so companies can focus on their core work.

3. Compliance: In a DOT Compliance sensitive environment, aviation companies can benefit from the expertise a recruiting partner can provide. The recruiting company knows best practices relating to pay rates, skill set demographics, competitive intelligence and compliance.
