Gulf Air Signed Up as the Official Carrier of the Bahrain International Airshow 2020/22

The agreement was signed by both parties in a signing ceremony that took place during the Paris International Airshow at Le Bourget, Paris in France.

Le Bourget, Paris – France 18 June 2019: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, today signed a sponsorship agreement with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ Civil Aviation Affairs entitling the airline to become again the official carrier of the Bahrain International Airshow in its 6th and 7th editions in 2020 and 2022. The agreement was signed by both parties in a signing ceremony that took place during the Paris International Airshow at Le Bourget, Paris in France.

The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for Bahrain International Airshow and Gulf Air’s CEO Mr. Krešimir Kučko at the Paris Air Show. Gulf Air has been the official carrier since the pilot edition of the Bahrain International Airshow in 2010 and it continues to support this important biennial event in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Commenting on the renewal of the official carrier deal, His Excellency the Minister said, “The Bahrain International Airshow 2020 marks a decade of success since it first launched in 2010 and we are very pleased to have had Gulf Air as the official carrier of each of the airshow’s editions and a contributor to its success.  We look forward to continuing on this success leveraging our partnership with Gulf Air, as the airline helps us to bring the leaders of the global aerospace industry to Bahrain.”

The airshow witnessed significant moments for Gulf Air as we announced our fleet orders in 2016 and 2 years later displayed the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and the Airbus 320neo to the visitors of the show and the world.”

The airline continues to support mega events in Bahrain that promote the Kingdom to the global audience. Gulf Air is the title sponsor of the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix, which established the Kingdom as a major host of motorsport events in the region and the world. With the renewal of Bahrain International Airshow agreement, Gulf Air will continue to promote the Kingdom as one of the main aviation hubs in the region.
