Cape Air Goes Live with Maintenix as Enterprise MRO IT Standard

Nov. 30, 2015
By standardizing maintenance information and processes on a single system, Cape Air staff can now more efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day operations while keeping an eye on key corporate performance objectives.

OTTAWA, CANADA (November 30, 2015) – – Mxi® Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance management software, announced today that Cape Air – one of the largest and fastest growing independent U.S. regional airlines – is now live on Maintenix® as its enterprise-wide fleet maintenance management system.

Voted by Condé Nast Traveler readers as one of the “Best Airlines in America,” Cape Air has set its sights on driving greater performance efficiencies while scaling the business to service new locations. Less than a year after selecting Maintenix following a market review, the system is now operational across all outstations in the United States, Caribbean and Guam, spanning the airline’s engineering, planning, maintenance operations control and materials management functions, supporting a mixed fleet of ATR, Cessna and Britton-Norman Islander aircraft.

By standardizing maintenance information and processes on a single system, Cape Air staff can now more efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day operations while keeping an eye on key corporate performance objectives. For instance, stronger integration between flight operations and maintenance control will help ensure the optimal balance between required maintenance work and the scheduling of critical revenue flights.

“Given our growth plans, we recognized early on that change was needed with some of the systems we had in-house. A modern MRO system like Maintenix fits well with the dynamic nature of our company and our unique business model. We are well positioned to streamline operations, benefit from timely information insights and expand the business without ever compromising our commitment to customer satisfaction,” says James Goddard, Senior Vice-President of Fleet Planning and Technical Operations at Cape Air.

“This successful go live is reflective of the collaborative spirit that exists between Cape Air and Mxi Technologies. We are committed to working closely with Cape Air as they look to capitalize on the growth opportunities at hand in this burgeoning North American marketplace, and we are proud that they chose Maintenix as the system to help achieve their goals,” says Bill Cavitt, President and CEO at Mxi Technologies. “Congratulations to Cape Air on what I am confident is just the first step towards many years of continued innovation, growth and success.”
