Transaero begins regular flights to Los Angeles

Second largest Russian airline starts twice-weekly flights from Domodedovo airport

The second largest Russian airline Transaero starts regular flights to Los Angeles, to be operated with Boeing-777 aircraft on Thursdays and Sundays from Moscow's Domodedovo airport.

The airline Transaero made its first flight on November 5, 1991. Currently, its fleet consists of more than 80 aircraft, including 19 Boeing-747, 12 Boeing-777, 14 Boeing-767, 28 Boeing-737 and three Tu-214. Its route network links 160 destinations in Russia and countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa.

The other Russian carrier that operates flights to Los Angeles is Aeroflot. It makes five flights a week from Moscow. All planes on the route are Airbus A330s.
