Dallas’ luxury flyers will have another travel option to head to Los Cabos or Aspen later this spring.

Aero, a semi-private jet service with custom-designed, 16-seat aircraft is opening a Dallas hub at Love Field with introductory rates starting at $1,000 one-way. The first flights out of Dallas will take off starting on April 21 to Los Cabos and May 25 to Aspen.

“Aero was founded because we believe that there’s an opportunity to deliver radically better air travel,” said Uma Subramanian, CEO of Aero Technologies. “We are really focused on creating a premium customer experience.”

She calls it the “Four Seasons experience for air travel.”

The carrier began operating in 2021. It currently has hubs in Los Angeles and San Francisco with service to Los Cabos at San José del Cabo Airport and Aspen at Aspen/Pitkin County Airport. Subramanian said the two destinations it serves are popular with Texas travelers.

It’ll start with two trips a week and then scale from there, Subramanian said.

Customers can expect sleek, black planes with white glove services when they arrive at Love Field, just about 15 to 30 minutes before their scheduled flight. Customers can book directly on Aero’s website, she said.

She said the company partners with Erewhon, a popular organic and natural foods market in Los Angeles for different amenities on its California flights. But the company is still evaluating partners in Texas, so that it “will feel much more Texas,” she said.

The company plans to add more routes, she said, but for now, it’s focusing on current routes. Aero is hiring a Dallas regional manager. The carrier has 200 employees.

This month, Dallas-based semi-private jet service JSX announced it was revamping its home at Love Field. Nearly 90 flights a week run out of Love Field, the company said, and it is looking to grow more.
