September 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the first aviation finance transaction ever entered into by GE, with the signing of a lease agreement for three DC 9-30s to Allegheny Airlines in 1967. GECAS is proud to have become the premier aviation financier with the largest aircraft fleet of any lessor, the largest and most global team in the industry, serving the largest range of customers in aviation.
