The Resource Management System (RMS) is a solution designed for the efficient management of non-mobile handling resources such as airline ticket counters, gates and airline back offices as well as kiosks operating in both CUSS mode and dedicated use mode and baggage reclaim carousels.

RMS is an integral element of the common use system and makes an essential contribution to enhancing the flexibility of the airport properties and facilities. RMS relieves scheduling managers from time-consuming routine tasks and supplies all the necessary information in a clear and systematic format to enable rapid response and resolution at a critical moment.

RMS is directly connected to the Airport Operational Database (AODB) which is developed in an Open Systems architecture to integrate those applications which are planned for future integration. The modules themselves are expandable and the technology used allows users to implement new features and functionalities seamlessly. RMS provides functionality to meets the requirements of an airport's planning/operations department and all common business needs of the airport.

Key features of the RMS are accurate scheduling and precision management of:

  • Common use ticket / check-in counters
  • Kiosks (CUSS and dedicated-use)
  • Gates / hard stands / departure lounges / baggage claim carousels
  • Ramp / Ally's/ Spots
  • EDD / Baggage Laterals

By creating new types of resources the system will be able to also manage Stands (such as, pier-served or remote stands) to:

  • Optimize of the use of all airport resources
  • Address airline / airport facilities utilization during periods of irregular flight operations
  • Auto-detect resource problems
  • Avoid conflicts and suggest alternatives
  • Reduce routine tasks / concentrate on critical issues

AirIT's RMS solutions have already been installed and is operational at many airports around the world including, Detroit, Minneapolis, Memphis, Philadelphia, Miami, Puerto Rico's, Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Düsseldorf International Airports in Germany.
