It has been specifically designed to cancel the low-frequency noise generated by equipment such as generators, engines, motors, pumps, fans, blowers, vacuums, etc. Prolonged exposure to these types of noise can permanently damage hearing. It delivers a 26 NRR passive noise attenuation and up to an additional 20 db of low-frequency active noise reduction. The PA4000 is an over-the-head safety earmuff. There is also a behind-the-head style (PA4100) and a hard hat clip-on version (PA4200). Either one of the latter two can be worn with hard hats.
