UV-Eye NDT tool

UV-Eye is a new multifunctional tool, developed by UK-based NDT Consultants Limited, that is a must have for NDT personnel who work with fluorescent materials; be it penetrant or magnetic particle inspection. It is a “simple small smart” device. It allows an easy access to difficult defects with simple viewing, recording and measurement. The instrument can be calibrated easily using either UVA or white light with known traceable standards such as transparent comparators or graticules. Accurate measurements can be made under UVA or white light. The PSMS/TAM panel degradation check has become a mandatory test for ensuring consistency of penetrant system performance. Difficulty of measuring the star cracks particularly the small stars is now elegantly and easily done using the UV-Eye. The unit measures and records the image and dimension, provided in reporting format, using specifically developed software. The software allows: recording and storing of indications; images stored in jpeg; measurement of indication with easy line, circle, or rectangular measurement tools; and generatation of reports with preloaded report format: Tam panel report and defect report.
