CHO-SEAL 6452 EMI Gasket Materials

March 11, 2011

CHO-SEAL 6452 nickel-plated graphite-filled EPDM elastomer EMI gasket materials from Parker Chomerics are a new generation of material formulations developed for military systems requiring decontamination with Super Tropical Bleach (STB) after exposure to nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) environments. The materials feature a low compression set of 30% and low moisture premeability, leading to lower total cost of ownership by reducing the incidence of field repairs and maintenance. In addition to its performance attributes, the gasket materials exhibit a low shore A hardness of 72 with the ability to extrude in more than 100 different cross sections. Those include hollow O, D, and omega profiles that offer greater design flexibility and performance than other conductive EPDM materials. Chomerics offers EMI shielding and thermal management solutions for communications, computer, consumer, automotive, military, aerospace, and medical electronics markets.
